Unseasonable
Movie at midnight—
Something we’ve seen--
And cold white wine
In plastic tumblers.
Outside the sky
Clotted with clouds
And a half-moon
Riding the chill
Above the pool.
No reason to leave,
No reason to stay
Save the only one
That really matters.
